The council have told me they will not house me. I am a single male (late fifties)

I think you will be lucky to get something for £300 mate. The private renting game is very expensive. As far as the council, they are full of cr@p pal. Once you are homeless, they are legally bound to house you in someway, shape or form. The most likely scenario is that you will be placed in a B&B. You should then, having gained points (you will have a shitload for being homeless) be allocated a property. If uou are on your own, then most likely a 1 bedroommed flat. Keep pushing them mate, dont take any shite offf them. Nag then skinny & go down & plague them everyday in the council allocations....Good luck....

first of all were in the hell are you locatedd at were leigh whatt? are you currently working still(were ever your at i need a philly lawyer too figure out this mess) and you only got 300.00 a month to spend on rents what are yougona do about your utilities?? and some coucil just toosed you out a councill of what old ladies?? i take it your still working etc your in your fifties(not retired yet) so whats the problemm you got 3 weeks dont sit around and do nothing just move out find something else etc, lok you got thre eks find something else and what in the hell is tis council telling you when were too move here?? thats your decisionn and why are they throwing you out? too many questions here strange etc

they have to if your homeless, go to em on the day you get kicked out with your bags and they have to find you a b&b until they can find you somewhere permanant. unless its your own fault your getting kicked out (like not paying your rent) but i'd still try. thats the only way a council can say no is if you made yourself homeless.

Look in local papers, but if thats all you've got for rent I think you should be looking at bedsits or rooms to rent.
