Any story. As long as it doesn't bore me, I'll read it.

Once upon a time, there was this guy. He was reading Yahoo! answers one day, when he stumbled upon this query: "Who wants to tell me a story for no reason at all?" He could not resist. Also, he was bored.
So he told the story of how he was telling the story to answer the question, and that was the story. Unfortunately, it happened to be about actual history, as every word of it was true.
The past is prologue.
Peace and love to you, and all mankind, and even man unkind.

Once upon a time, a guy from the city and his family decided to buy a farm in the country and become farmers. After some prodding from a real estate agent, the man from the city bought a farm with 50 acres and a very small house. Three days later, the man called the real estate agent. "This house is much too small for me and my family! I want my money back!". Thinking fast on his feet, the agent told him, "ok, but I think I know a way to make the house bigger. Will you try it?". The man agreed.
"Ok", proceeded the agent, "here is what I want you to do....round up all your chickens and bring them in the house. Do the same with the hogs, the cows, and the horses. Bring them all inside the house and call me tommorow". The new farmer didn't understand how this was going to make the house bigger, but he did as he was told. The next day, the farmer called the agent. "I did exactly as you said, and the house is no bigger. In fact, we are so crowded in here we can barely move. I want my money back!". The agent responded, "Wait...we are not done yet. Tommorow morning I want you put all the chickens back outside in their pens, put the cows and horses back in the pasture and put the hogs back outside in the hogpen and then call me.
The next morning the farmer did as he was told. He put the chickens and the cows and the horses and the hogs back outside where they had all been before. An hour later, the agent got a call from the very excited farmer..."I don't know how you did it, but you did it! The house is MUCH bigger now! I will keep the house after all."
"No problem", said the agent, "Glad to help out."

This story is about Jim and Linda. They liked to travel a lot sometimes they'd go hundreds of miles just to visit freinds. On one of these trips Linda's cousin Melaney met Jim and Linda. Linda and Melaney wanted more time to talk so they decided to ride together for a ways down the interstate.

The plan was to meet at a Dairy Queen and all get a chocolate shake together and Melaney would head her way and Jim and Linda would go theirs.

But on the way Linda needed to stop at a rest stop on the interstate. So Melaney and Linda pulled into the rest stop, Jim followed in his car and pulled into the rest stop as well. Linda got out of the car, her and Melaney had decided to go their separate ways at the rest stop but Jim was unaware of this.

Jim being bored started fiddling with the dash board clock in the car it was a few minutes off and he thought he'd reset it. After resetting the clock Jim looked up and saw that Melaney's car was gone. This irritated Jim they were supposed to meet for ice cream and they had just left him at the rest stop.

So Jim decided just to go directly home and let Melaney bring Linda to the house.

In the meantime Linda comes out of the rest stop to find neither Jim nor Melaney in sight. She frantically looks around but realizes she's been abandoned at the rest stop.

Thugs came by and harrassed Linda so she pretended she was a truck driver and walked down to a semi parked at the reststop. She walked around the rigg like she was inspecting it kicking the tires etc. The Thugs bought the act and went on their way.

Jim arrived home and decided on a big glass of orange juice. He just got the glass poured and the phone rang. A stranger said that she had just met a Linda at the rest stop and she was stranded there.

Jim was baffled but got in the car and made the one hour drive back to the rest stop to pick up Linda. After Jim recovered from his injuries Jim and Linda lived happily ever after, and had many more adventures.

I'm sorry I can't. I love telling stories, but if I tell you one now, it will be because you asked. So your conditions would not be met.
