Is it normal for me to like hairy chested and/or bearded men? What do other people prefer?

I'd like to add that I'm just 18, and that I've liked the football player Alan Shearer for 10 years, one of the reasons being he has a hairy chest...

Being a hairy man myself, I can tell you that you are perfectly normal. You see, you may be told by society that cleanly shaved men are handsome and beautiful, but your subconscious still desires the most basic things from men. Back at the dawn of time, we were MEN. The hairy hunter. The provider. We chased away the night and gave life to the world. Man was God! And you women, as much as you hate to admit it, you need us. We make fire. We beat up dinosaurs and then we eat meat. You love us because we are tough, strong and wild and our beards and hairy chests show you what you need. Us hairy hunters give you security, comfort and a strong figure to lead your tribe. Your being drawn towards bearded men, is not only sexual, but maternal. We give you what you need to start a family, and you know that we will always protect said family.
It helps if you look like Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt or Orlando Bloom when you decide to go hairy, but it's not essential.
Real Men Have Beards.

The only type of men I am attracted too are damn fine hairy ones. More on the masculine wavelengths for me for some reason and I find it difficult to keep my hands off them...a lust worthy female meets hormone drenched alpha male thing? I do not know but I treat their shirts violently when given the chance! I know a chap who is hairy and given half a chance I probably would, LOL. But then again that is a bad thing called adultery and a no no....but HAIR!!!

It all has to do with personal preference. A guy being hairy might make him seem more masculine or dominant, which might appeal to you for a variety of reasons. Either way, I don't see anything wrong with it.
Personally, I can't say if I prefer guys to be hairy or not. I guess it depends on the guy.

Personally I dont like men too hairy, just a bit running down the middle of the chest, but whatever rocks you boat, we are all different.

I think sonicdethmon pretty much got it right though I don't really agree with the wording or the way it was wrote but i think that it is basically basic instinct pretty much as was describes in sonicdethmon's post

i like alan shearer aswell..being a born n bred geordie lassy,but im not keen on hairy men...there more of a turn off................
