If you were 3 and had used it to fix your plastic car, where would you put your mum's/mom's can opener when you had finished using it as a wrench/spanner?

Think I need a new one anyway. Thank you all for your suggestions. Made me laugh.

Rank the rooms he plays in by the amount of time he spends in each and then go over every sq in of space in each room according to rank.

Do you have a dish washer? Does your child play outside? Is there more than one trash can?

Ah, heck just forget it and go buy a new really high quality can opener. I will become a real treasure and the longer it lasts the better the story will get:)

Have you tried looking in all the places your 3 year old might want to poke things into? Try looking under your furniture. Maybe it would be easier just to buy a new can openner. That way you'll find the other one when you are looking for something else.

In the pocket of my winter coat......to be found sometime in the fall. I did this with my father's college ring when I was 3, I'm 44 now, and it still makes for conversation on holidays.

Me - the dogs basket
My Partner - back of/underneath the sofa

If he has any bikes or tricycles that have a basket or the seat lifts up for storage, that's where my 2 year old nephew puts things.
