Someone gave me this number to call them. And I think they are scamming. Does anyone know how to check the number to see if it is a single line or part of a phone bank.

yes 234 is the Nigerian country code. According to phone finder, (at the link below), it's located in the city of Abuja. I'm not sure if there's a way to find out if it's a phone bank, though.

Even if its not Nigerian it is likely a scam - you can get a high bill for per minute time on a number you don't know.

yes it's a Nigerian phone number, I have contact with people from there from time to time, but I'm not sure if it's single line or not.

It is possible but it is usually expensive. If you've answered an advert and you're being asked to call a Nigerian number.....forget it!

Its a cell phone in nigeria - probably a scam. Beware!

yes, 234 is int nigirian code, its a scam!! phone them up and ask for their credit card details etc etc! yu'd be suprised how easy it is to get them back.
