I'm still a Slipknot fan. I'll admit it. I agree that they can be a little "cheesy" at times and they get lumped in the whole "nu-metal" genre, but I still give them a listen every once in a while.
Their first roadrunner records album (self-titled) to me is a classic. It came out when I was in 9th grade, and it was great to finally here something different (for its time) instead of fxcking Limp Bizkit and Korn.
Stone Sour's first album is also a classic. The new one's good, but definately not as heavy as the first and doesn't have as much of a wow factor as the first one did. That new hit "Through Glass" or "Bother II" as I like to call it is already getting beaten into our heads.
