Batman - because he is the ONLY one without any superpowers and hence a borderline superhero - he is a very good example of the classic tale of man's quest over Gods. Interestingly, his deeds are also questionable, since they are seen as a Man's quest for justtice but this can also be seen as plain revenge for his parents' murder in front of his own eyes when he was a kid. The passion that he has to cut the roots of evil and the exttent to which he wants to go to for it makes him almost a maniac. Almost like a rich playboy with too much money, power and time in his hand. Besides, why else will he choose Bat - a blind part mammal part bird to bring justice to a city!
