My husband and I seems to talk about this a lot... maybe it's because we grew up near the beach and now we live near the mountains.. so I choose... "The Mountains "

Mountains.

I live very close to the beach (L.A.) and never go - it's usually kinda windy and the water's cold and sandy and the sand gets in everything and I get sunburned no matter what, but our mountains are wonderful. Quiet and serene and shady. I love to hear the chickadees, nuthatches, woodpeckers and ravens. And there's no sand (or bears or mosquitoes for that matter).

Beach! There are fewer bears and mosquitos on the beach. Life in Alaska teaches one to be practical.
