In My veiw abortion is Murder. Murder of the worste form. Murder of a little being that can not defend itself. Whether people get hung up on its a fetus, or not its still a living being made by two people.
I have had friends that have had abortions. They have suffered deep mental scars from the abortions. Have even heard about them hearing the screams of the babies as they get sucked from the womb. How brutal is that?? The emotional effect of an abortion on the mothers body lasts longer than the actual act its self.
What about the ways they use to abort that baby. Suction method rips that baby out of the safety of the womb. Forcing bones and flesh into a vaccuum type tube to end up in a bowl at the end. What about partial birth abortions. That baby is almost ready for birth, and alot of times labor has started, only to have that babys life ripped away from it. Anyone that trys to tell Me that baby doesnt feel fear when its own breath is ripped from its lungs, or doesnt feel its own bones beign crushed is nieve to say the least
Now, what about a pregnancy that happens during rape. I say, sure it was not a good thing that resulted in the pregnancy but the baby doesnt know better. The baby is still viable and living. There are adoption agencies out there. Use them. So many people out there can not have kids, and just because the baby was a 'prduct' of rape doesnt mean that the baby will go and do the same thing the ..'sperm doner' did.
If a child were to die at the hands of someone after it was born, the person that killed that baby would be charged with numerous charges. Abuse, Neglect, MURDER.
We too often of the time think of the time after the baby is born and ohhhh and ahhh over the baby. Look how cute..Look at the eyes, look how big....yet, they think differantly when that same baby is inside the mother?. Tell Me this makes sense...to Me it doesnt. That same baby inside the mothers womb is the exact same baby thats born, only its smaller and forming more...depending on the mother to protect it and help it grow.
To Me abortion is an excuse. One used to not take on the responsibility of how the baby came to be. I see teen girls turn to abortion, why?...because they dont want to get introuble with their parents, or they dont want to look bad infront of their friends for finding out they got pregnant.
When one plants a seed, do they not expect that seed to grow into a full plant. Something beautiful?. Its the same way with getting pregnant.
What if the pregnancy is a result of inscest, or what if the baby has phyiscial problems. No, I still dont believe that abortion is the answer. The baby may have mental or gentic problems, but still deserves to live. if there is a physical problem and chances are the baby isnt going to make it to term...give that baby a chance to be recognized. Give it a decent burrial.
Point being there are always ways around the differant things that can cause an unwanted pregnancy. Ways to help that baby have life. I am against abortion, and always will be.

Have you ever noticed that the same people who are right to lifers have no answer when asked who will help raise the child... or help to pay for the child. They are probably the ones who complain the loudest about women with children being on welfare. So hypocritcal.... I believe that women should have a choice in the matter. Adoption is a very good option, but not all women will do that. Take away the option/availability of abortion and we will have women trying to abort by themselves... like before abortion was legal. And... if these people are truly right to lifers... why do they murder the doctors performing the abortions?... Doesn't that put them in the same boat as the dr's (except for the fact that the doctor wasn't breaking the law and they are)?

Completely against... no questions asked... it shouldn't even be a question... It is simply murder... what about a premie baby... If someone went into the nicu and chopped the baby up then that person would be charged with murder... but every day, doctors chopp up babies of that same age and it is called a "Outpatient Procedure", but only one walks out... and the baby is thrown away! Some people say that it is completely painless, but how would they like it if I poored salt in their eyes until they finally died or chopped them up with no pain medicine... or stuck a needle in their head and sucked out their brain...not to pretty huh? these are things that are done during these "Out Patient Procedures"... the babies are given no pain medicine... how hard can it be to use birth control or heck just don't have sex... save a life!

I wouldn't say I'm "for it," like, "yeah, go for it!" or anything like that, but I do support abortion. It's the woman's choice what she can/will do while pregnant, even if that means ending the pregnancy. I don't think it's a decision in the likes of, "Hmmm, I really don't feel like being pregnant today, I think I'll get an abortion," either, though I can't say that's how everyone feels. I've never had an abortion, and I hope I never have to. However, taking a woman's reproductive rights away is only going to create back-alley abortion clinics and more deaths. At least keep it legal, sanitary, and safe for the women who decide it's their best option.

I am neither against it or "for it." I only support the fact that it is the woman's decision to have it. It is not my business to get in the way of someone to wants to have an abortion. There are those who are old enough to make their own decisions and I respect that- even though I may know that person. She might be going through a malady or an illness which may threaten her survival.

I used to be completely against it.
I am a mother of 2 and I love my children more than life itself.
I am older now and I know that women have so many ovulations in their life, it's quite difficult to manage. And accident do happen.
One has to be logical. Yes if you have sex, you should be responsible for your action. But also, if you are at your 3rd child, single (no dad), you have to think about the other children who will suffer from this pregnancy/new baby/no time with mommy/no money to eat. Or in a case of rape.
Adoption is great and I can't judge people who do (it must take a lot of courage to do it) but I would think it's more painful to know that your child is somewhere on this planet and you'll most likely never will have the chance to meet him/her and tell him/her why you could not keep him/her.
I would not recommend abortion for a woman who never had a child though. It's risky.
At last resort, I would go for an abortion.

IF YOUR TOO YOUNG or RAPED and not ready for the expense
of raising a child and the love and care is not there. Do you want
your 13 year old having a baby and dropping out of school and
putting the whole burden on the grandparents plus the cost?
and watching the boy move away. she has no father at all?
You decide what you would do !

I am against it, but I am for it under certain instances. Like rape. That is when abortion should be allowed. But all others shouldn't be allowed. And the reason for it is because it's taking away a life that hasn't even begun yet. It's not fair to the unborn child because that could have been someone to change the future for a positive way.

Against it, so much so that I would take care of/adopt a child if they did not want it, all I would ask was that they honor the life enough to give birth. I have already adopted and would love to again. That is how much I am against it. Life is precious and it sounds like you have experienced that yourself...congratulations =)

I wish abortion didn't have to exist, that every child concieved was wanted, but I support a woman's right to make choices where her own body is concerned.
Congratulations on your baby! I'm glad you were able to choose when to bring a new life into this world. Please give others the same choices.
(FYI I am a man, but I have two sisters.)
