The property lines that are shown on tax mapping and other GIS mapping, which is available on the internet in some areas, is only approximate. Precise property locations are shown on subdivision plats and other property boundary survey plats, which are generally not available on the internet.
This info is public, if it has been recorded, but not all surveys are recorded. You need to visit the office of the county recorder of deeds at your county courthouse, and ask to see what they have recorded for that particular property. If you cannot find what you are looking for there, contact a local licensed professional land surveyor for advice.

dependent on your state, but normally at the local county assessor's office. Do a Yahoo to find the county where the address is located. Yes, its public.

Go to your City Hall, the department of Deeds.
The person behind the counter, will get it for you, once you
give them the address. This is the Public Information.
