Hello, I am doing research on how to write a novel in the first person POV. I would like to know more information about authors or famous novels that use that style. Thanks

Hi!

One of my favorite books is written in first person. It is called "Warlord" by Elizabeth Vaughn. She is the best first person author I have ever read...

Check her book out... It has a "Conan the Barbarian" kind of feel to it. But even if you do not like the story line, you can probably learn a lot from her style of writing.

Elizabeth Vaughn also has a second book called "Warsworn". It is written equally well, but the story is not as facinating (imho) as her first book.

:)
Hope this helps... T.

David Copperfield by Dickens is a big one - and you might like to look up his short story "George Silverman's Explanation" for an example of the unreliable narrator. Dickens used a lot of his experience as a youngster in David Copperfield.

For an example of an advnature story, you could argue that Sherlock Holmes is written in the first person by Doctor Watson.

pass forward and write without thinking regardless of if or not you will discover an agent and a writer. Write by using fact you may desire to precise some thing, and write it with honesty, without attempting to be beautiful. computers make it hardship-free to edit and re-write yet be careful of not being sloppy. till now making considerable ameliorations on your first draft, be confident to save an unique so which you in no way do the ameliorations on the unique. you do not ought to grasp in develop each and every element of the story till now you commence. on occasion you would be shocked to come across that the characters have a existence and a will of their very very own and which you will not be able to stress them to do what they don't desire to, you're in basic terms "channeling" them, giving them a voice, and in case you provide up the venture they are going to have a fashion of arising you experience undesirable for allowing them to down. properly, it took place to me besides. Your mindset ought to be considered one of calm, concentration and interest to permit the characters to bare themselves to you. Publishers reject a lot of powerful manuscripts by using fact of advertising motives, so being a broadcast author would not unavoidably propose that the author is super. evaluate option publishing, like "on-call for" publishing the place the e book isn't printed till a shopper orders and could pay for it; publishing in PDF format that a shopper can acquire after finding out to purchase it and different possibilities that don't require the extensive equipment of classic publishing, yet till now you get there end your manuscript and get the help of a expert editor.
