Looks like we're heading to a total ban. Maybe we should all isolate ourselves in our own countries and outlaw travel.

Why stop at baggage?

We may get to the point where the airlines have us change
into airline clothing and ship our luggage and clothes via another
route.

You can even imagine being attached to the seat so that you
can't move around too much in the airplane.

Ultimately, you can imagine people having poisons stored
in their bodies where all they need to do is just BE in the
airplane for awhile and everyone will get sick.

Life is a risk.

How many more people die of flu every year than terrorism?

If they do away with carry on luggage it will be the only decent thing the terrorists have ever done. I fly a lot and it seems as if I am always having bags dropped on my head.

I am a large man, it is uncomfortable for me to sit on a plane for a long period of time. When the plane lands I always have to wait for people to drag their bags out of the overhead storage.

For safety and sanity's sake get rid of carry on baggage

Someone must have missed their flight today. If someone wants to enter our country with any substanance whether it be drugs, guns, explosives, etc then they will find a way to successfully do that. My impression of what happened was that someone wanted to send a message. That's all it was because if Al-Qaida really wanted to get the job done we would have heard about it after the fact. Intelligence has stepped up to the plate and started catching these guys before the act takes place but if they wanted to get the job done they would have succeeded.

I hope so.

Carry on is my Nemesis. I always check my bag. All that confusion when you get to the gate people clustered in the isle tugging at 100 pound bags in the overhead.

I say give every passenger a gun and go for it. Mythbuster proved it takes 1000's of bullet hits to dammage a 747

Expect the Department of Homeland Insanity to keep their nifty color-coded alert bouncing between orange and red until after the November elections. Then they will announce that they've foiled "a whole bunch" of plots so we'll be safe until a few months before the '08 presidential election.

that's likely only a section she is going by ability of. it can ought to do with the flow because it truly is something that she feels she will be in a position to regulate (as well as controlling her clothing). i have taught preschool for 12 years and performance considered many little ones like this. I had one pupil deliver a backpack ordinary. I swear the backpack were given higher ordinary! He needed to positioned on all of it of the time. i ultimately had to set a decrease and instructed him that he would have it outside, yet necessary to positioned it away after we got here in. He well-known this and forgot about it after some months. i imagine you could set a decrease with her. provide her some selections. tell her she will be in a position to take her luggage (outside, for a walk, (anyplace you imagine is suitable)) yet no longer (to the save, in the approach the line). also tell her "in case you receives disillusioned at the same time as human beings contact your luggage, then you definately can't take it." at the same time as she freaks out about no longer having the flexibility to take is someplace, say "i am going to allow you to recognize are disillusioned yet i'm no longer providing you a call." reliable success!

I agree. The airlines have already lost millions because of this. Eventually they will get the message. The last time that I flew I could take matches but not a lighter. That just does not make sense.

Yes, and we all will have to fly naked (WOO-HOO!!!).

Maybe all luggage will have to fly separately, on luggage-only planes.

Or maybe flying will be banned altogether. I didn't think there were ANY flights in Europe anymore anyway - Europe is green isn't it? Don't planes "destroy the environment"? Isn't flying for capitalist bourgeois pigdogs like Bill Gates and George Bush and Hillary Clinton and Al Gore?

Carry on luggage will eventually disappear. Isn't it fun to have all those terrorists around? We certainly don't want to do any racial profiling, so we won't name any particular group or religion, but then again, can someone tell me what the heck their problem is that they want to destroy everything?
