People quote from certain passages of the bible and leave others - somtimes it's used as a justification of Israel's existince. Israel should exist but there is no way youj can say that it's biblical without acepting the whole book.

Slaves according to Jesus were okay he just wanted masters to be understanding and slaves to work hard .

Homosexuals have to be killed and it's okay to have multiple wives etc.

Are you willing to take the whole book lock stock and barrel ? The New testament alone okay it's not a nicey nice book either .

Is the bible hate litrature?

You were reading from the book of Hosea and if yu think thats bad read Judges (11 I think) where god gets into a deal (the spirit of the Lord ) about a slaughter of Israel's enemies in exchange he burns his daughter alive.

whatever book, chapter or verse that suits their purpose is what they believe in. there are those that condemn certains acts and others that "allow" certain acts.

The bible isn't hate literature...it's just significantly out of date. What was considered to be socially acceptable back then is often not so now. For example, in the bible it is lawful for a parent to stone a disobedient child to death. Today a parent can be arrested for spanking a child to hard. Clearly some parts of the bible should be ignored or just taken in historical context.

Certainly the OT can be categorized as such. The examples are too numerous to put here but I found a short book near the end of the OT that basically has god telling this guy to get himself a whore to marry and feel free to abuse the heck out of her!

Actually, I don't recall homosexuals being on the list of those who are to be killed. It's just considered a sin.

But included the list are people who work on the Sabbath and those who were clothing made from two different cloth threads.

Judaic regulation precisely at the same time as God replaced into coping with sin contained in the former testomony and had to do with Israel. The believer right now follows the platform of grace and faith and the training of Christ and the recent testomony.

I think the bible is the only book that ppl read partially and then spew quotes all over those less holy. Read the entire book and then relish on it to yourselves, thats who it was meant for.

No the Bible isn't "hate literature". If you were to read it and put it in context then perhaps it would make more sense.

Its not the bible that preaches hate. Its the people who use the bible to justify their hatred.
