I do, I live in North Carolina, and we have a place down at the Outer Banks, and I love it there. There are days when you can step out on the beach and not be able to see anyone as far as you can see in either direction. But I love any beach, as long as I'm near water I'm happy, and the ocean is so awesome, i could spend all day on the beach just watching the waves come in and out. And at night when the tide comes up really high, I love to go walking or running through the water. And getting out on the beach at 5:45 to sit and wait for the sun to rise over the ocean. And then at night my whole family gets together to watch the sun set over the sound. Spectacularly beautiful and unbeatable.

i noticed this question was asked under the "san diego" category. that's where i was born and raised and i miss it a lot. but yes, i do agree there is no other place quite like the beach. san diego has a variety of beaches to go, but if you've never been to hawaii... you have to check it out.

in san diego you smell seaweed washed up on the sand and bbq's. in hawaii... usually, it's the smell of tropical suntan oils and the water is clear!
