My parents are divorced and i remember after my dad got remaried he would use the child support checks that my mom sent (if and when she sent one) on his little hobbies. If i were you i would be upset. As far as the amount it really depends on the age of the child and how much income she brings in herself.

You poor Father's that are being made to pay Child Support. I have a friend who pays $1,300.00, per month for three children. The Mother has a boyfriend and the children tell the Father they never get any money or clothes with the Child Support their hungry Mother recieves. The Father is so sickened from this. It was the Mother who commited Adultry and then she takes the children. The Children do not have it good. But do not get upset about what the cheap so called Mother buys. There is nothing you can do , with the money she gets. She will not change. Just takes the money and uses it for herself. My friend trys to make it up to the children. When he buys them gifts he tries to keep them at his home. Just try to make it up to the little one. You fill the voids that the cheap shot doesn't .
Too Bad, that you men have to end up with such crap. But stand firm. Her day will come, when your child asks his Mother , WHY ???

No, you shouldn't be upset. Furthermore, you should be teaching your son stronger values. Why are you counting how many gifts your wife gives your son on this one day of the year? It shouldn't be an issue at all. Are you trying to make your son materialistic and shallow? She is his mother, and maybe by buying one gift she has a certain lesson she's trying to teach him.
A gift is a gift, whether it's purchased or handcrafted. The beauty is in giving, not receiving.

Depends on what the gift was. Was it big or little? Expensive or inexpensive? And, I am a single parent. It is expensive taking care of a child...although, $200 a week is pretty good child support. Does she spend most of that money on him? Does he have a decent lifestyle...plenty of clothing, a nice room, toys...stuff like that?

Yes you should, but honestly it is probably nothing you can do. Some women just don't realize how good they have it when a man actually pays child support. My advice is to purchase your son some gifts and mailed them to him. Good Luck!!!

no u shouldnt b upset...after all.... she goes have rent/morgage to pay, food to ye, clothing to by...school expenses(if hes schoolsged)...and so much more... its the thought that counts.
