4x - 3x = 1x = x because four minus three is one.
4x+8-3x=x-6
x +8 = x - 6
Subtract x from each side.
8 = -6
Since this is not true, the answer is no solution.

ok, Bee Bee... (x-4) / x = 6 / (x^2 -3x) go multiplying skill you do the stunning on the left cases the backside on the stunning, and the stunning on the stunning cases the backside on the left: (x-4) * (x^2-3x) = 6 * x we simplify, which provides us 6x on the stunning, however the left is gonna be messy, so enable's multiply that left area out: (x-4) * (x^2 - 3x) = x(x^2 - 3x) -4(x^2 - 3x) = x^3 - 3x^2 - 4x^2 + 12x = x^3 + x^2 + 12x So, to place that with the 6x from the stunning: x^3 + x^2 + 12x = 6x Now for some fixing... x^3 + x^2 + 12x = 6x x^3 + x^2 + 6x = 0 enable's element: x(x^2 + x + 6) = 0 surely, do you think of you are able to take it from there? wish this enables... barjesse37

That's Wrong!!

4(x+2)-3x = x-6
4x+8-3x = x-6
x+8 = x-6
x = x-14

X cannot equal X - 14, therefore, there is no answer to this problem

Hope This Helps,
Mikey

are u sure it's not 4x + 8 + 3x = x-6?

cuz all ur x's add up to 0...and 0 does not = -14.........

4x - 3x - 1x = 0..?

if it was 4x + 8 + 3x = x -6

4x + 3 x - 1x = -6 -8
6x = -14
x = -7/3

i'm no math whiz...but i believe this is right
4x+8-3x=x-6 (You ad 4x to -3x to get x)
x+8=x-6 (minus the 8 to move it to the other side)
x=x-14 (minus the x to move to the otherside and you get.....)
-14
