Because it was a genetic variation that happened in an individual, and all humans are descended from them. The apes at the time wouldn't have been affected.
For instance, if you had purple eyes and the trait was dominant, your children would too, and their children etc etc. But there would still be people WITHOUT purple eyes, because their genes haven't been affected.

Some "apes" way back in the day may have evolved faster - actually MUCH faster - than others. It could've been from exposer to things such as toxins or basically growth hormones for some odd reason.
But then again if we didn't come from apes then were did we come from? Heck, where did ALL life come from?

Your stupidity demands a stern physical shaking.
Go get yourself a proper education. Evolution proposes that we are genetically related to a lower primate, we evolved in one direction with certain physiological characteristics, and many other species evolved entirely differently.

****. I'm really kicking myself now.
(Have you thought about getting an education? We did not come from apes, we share a common ancestor - we went one way, they went others. You know, like families of birds, lizards, etc... they're not all the same)

For the same reason that there are different species of dogs around. Some types evolved differently from each other. All dogs evolved from wolves and we still have wolves.

If children come from adults, why do we still have adults?
Or if American and Australians come from Europeans why are there still Europeans?
C'mon..think about it for a second...
It's about common ancestry, not monkeys giving birth to a baby that came out hairless and doing calculus....

We don't come from apes - but I like how your question supports that fact! Sorry, Darwin, you lose!
