wow the new generation goes in with eyes wide shut, putting commercials and you save money is all bullshit, explain why movie prices go up all the time when most films don't cost as much to make, yeah some one works in a movie theater and tell you all this and that,in Europe the commercials last for 15 min. is this where you want it all to go,hate industry knows that you want to do things at night so charge outrages prices and during the slow days the price is at least 50%less with the same commercials.but hey some people like then, just show up late with a flashlight to find seats........

Yes, I am sick of them. We get enough commercials at home watching TV. People are saying the cost of tickets would be higher without them but I remember when movie tickets were $6.50 and there were no commercials. Trailers for upcoming movies can be fun, but one has to sit through close to fifteen minutes of combined ads and trailers before getting the feature we paid for. As for 'the experience of going to the movies', I'd be happy if they brought back animated shorts or someone playing a Wurlitzer before the movie.

If you are talking about product commercials, I think they are way out of line in the movie theater. If you are talking about movie previews then they are and always have been acceptable.

I won't pay to get in someplace where I can't smoke and I have to watch commercials, so I haven't seen a movie in a theater in many years. When they open a theater where smoking is allowed and there are no commercials, I'll pay whatever it takes to get in.

Is that the worse or what?

There are commercials everywhere - television, internet, phone, even the DVD's you purchase for your own viewing pleasure!

I think we need a "click" like TIVO devise to get past all those ads

No wonder we're turning into such and over consuming society - it's shoved down our throats 24/7

i don't mind movie trailers, but I am sick of commericals that have nothing to do with movies like cell providers (the turn your phone off thing don't count), credit cards, upcoming events, beverages, things on television, and requests for donations ads when the live people aren't there with the cans to ask for the change
