American Pie by Don McClain The jester he refers too in many parts of the song is my favorite performer...Bob Dylan. While Elvis was making movies Dylan took his music spot light (as the king was looking down the jester stole his thorny crown) and Dylan borrowed a coat from James Dean to wear when he performed for the English royalty. It all really means something, and to me at least it is fascinating.

Moon River as sung by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's.
2nd Fav is Leaving on a Jet Plane. I don't think the lyrics are very good but the idea is great and it's good to hum in the period between resignation and leaving a boring job.

Favorite song of all time from the 50's to present day. Wow this was a tough one, but I would have to say True Love Ways by Buddy Holly.

"You're The First, The Last, My Everything", Barry White.
The first, the last, my everything
And the answer to all my dreams
You're my sun, my moon, my guiding star
My kind of wonderful, that's what you are
I know there's only, only one like you
There's no way they could have made two
You're all I'm living for
Your love I'll keep for evermore
You're the first, your the last, my everything
And with you I've found so many things
A love so new only you could bring
Can't you see it's you
You make me feel this way
You're like a fresh morning dew on a brand new day
I see so many ways that I
Can love you till the day I die
You're my reality, yet I'm lost in a-a-a a dream
You're the first, the last, my everything
[Musical Interlude]
I know there's only, only one like you
There's no way they could have made two
Girl you're my reality
But I'm lost in a-a-a a dream
You're the first, you're the last, my everything

I have given this lots of thought because like most people I have alot of songs that remind me of things but my favourite one of all time is Strange Fruit by Billie Holiday. It always brings me to tears. It really is a brilliant song.
