It is an excellent program for free. Of all the major free anti-virus programs, Avira Anti-Vir has the highest virus detection rates of them all.

You made an excellent choice. And don't let the AVG fanboys tell you otherwise!

I don't know anything about it, but...I think you need some spyware/adware or virus help.

This is what I do to protect my computer:
> Scan your computer for spyware/adware using a FREE software from Microsoft called Windows Defender: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx

> You can download a FREE antivirus software:

> You can buy Webroot Spy Sweeper here, it's very nice, safe and very up-to-date:

> MSN Toolbar, includes Pop-up blocker, Phishing filter - FREE:

> Use Windows Update to make sure you have the latest security updates: http://www.windowsupdate.com

> You can download the latest version of Internet Explorer, it's the new version, fast, clean and secure:

Good luck and I hope these solutions solve your problem, if you need more extra help, contact me :)
