TO WHOMEVER ANSWERED SECOND,

Anarchy is a lack of authority, not order. Anarchists DO gather to help a cause. We belive that gathering is nessacary- humans are social animals. Please do your reading before you try to shoot down the accuracy of my question.

Anarchism – Anarchists usually separate themselves from democratic socialists by their refusal to use the ballot box as a means of struggle, but democratic socialism has much in common with anarchism. One difference is emphasis is that socialists are less likely to lose sight of social responsibilities at the expense of individual rights. The anarchist conception of the abolition of the state has its parallel in Marx’s “withering away of the state.” Perhaps common ground can be found in the Italian anarchist Malatesta’s distinction between government and its state: government picks up the garbage and builds roads and sewers; the state executes, imprisons, and wages war. Gustav Landauer tried in his political writing to reconcile anarchism and socialism.

There isn't exactly a party, but there are many groups where a large percentage of the members are anarchists. You can get contacts to these groups at http://www.ainfos.ca/

You might also want to try joining your local Independent Media Center, which also has a healthy smattering of anarchists. http://indymedia.org

Infoshop also has some good links to anarchist or anarchist-friendly organizations: http://infoshop.org/infoshop_bookmarks.html

Perhaps you'd like to consider the Libertarian Party instead. They're for the smallest government and most personal freedoms possible (personal responsibilitym, no drug laws, FDA approval only for safe, not effective, no big government programs like Dept of Education, etc.) They realize under anarchy you have to spend all your time defending your home and there'd be a huge pile of bodies on your land's borders if you're a good shot. Also, the judiciary would have to be well-funded as courts would have to decide on a case-by-case basis rather than national blanket laws, which tend not to fit individuals too well.
