Well, you should check every couple of hours, until you've had your period for a couple of months. Pad timing is a very personal thing- it's different for different girls. I personally have to chance an overnight every couple of hours, but that's not normal. As a general rule, it should be around 3/4 hours. When the pad is covered, almost to the edges, and looks red on the bottom if you pull up the edges, it's time to change it. Just start watching until you understand how your own period works, and its general timing.

It really depends on how heavy your flow is at the time. I guess you just need to use your own instincts. If it starts to feel a little heavier than when you put it on, then that's a good indication. Or, if you start to "flow" more outward on the pad, not so much in the middle anymore, then that's another good time to change it so as not to soil your underwear. It'll take time to get to know yourself in this way, but you'll learn soon enough. Be sure you ALWAYS carry a spare pad with you, just in case.
Hope this helped some.

This is the time to get to know your body. Everytime you go to the bathroom, check to see how heavy your flow is. If it is lite change like every 3 hours, if it is heavy change every 90 minutes. The key is to stay fresh and clean. Don't wait until you start smelling bad. Other people should never know when it's that time of the month for you. Stay fresh........

Every 3-4 hours. To minimize the fishy odor (if u have one) make sure no air hits the pad (while it has blood on it), that's of course where the odor comes from.

You think people are going to want to offer you even a bit of advice when you've just called us all "dumb azz" before we even answered?
It'd be more likely that I'd hope you'd have menstrual blood running down your legs in front of a crowd of thousands than that I'd give you honest advice.

every 3-4 hours during the day, and about 8 hours at night. Of course if it gets uncomfortable, you may want to change it more often.

First of all you need to watch your language when you come on here asking questions...you need to learn some respect.
2nd, you do have a mom who you can go talk to about these women issues.
3rd you just answered your own question in your question...usually most people change their pad everytime they use the bathroom. Sanitary reasons.

Whenever it gets kinda uncomfortable and probally every few hours unless you sleep in one then you shoudl change it before you go to bed and depending on how much blood you have in it change it in the morning also. It's mostly up to you though.

I say at least every 4 hours, if you are heavy then every 3 hours. If you are light, you could probably go every 5 hours.

every 2-3 hours, like if you just put a pad on when you get your period, until it's so much blood you put another one on, which will be like 2-3 hours.
