It is difficult to find listings for regular car boot sales anywhere. A lot of them tend to be once off fundraising events. The Sligo Weekender lists one regular one but the site date is old so you would need to check if it is ongoing. Check online newspapers for community events and you may come across a few. The listing below, I found under a farmers markets listing, it might be something to go on. Often these markets are held alongside more general markets

Achill Ted Lavelles Friday 11.00am (Sat 15th April until December)
Ballina Community Centre Friday 9.00 am
Castlebar Linenhall Arts Centre Friday 9.00 am
Claremorris Town Hall Friday 11.00am
Ennis Friary Car Park Friday 8.30am
Portumna Town Hall Friday 8.30am
Strandhill Dolly's Cottage. Weekends in June, daily in July/Aug from 2 - 6
pm. Heritage Day: first Sunday in September
Westport Town Hall Thursday 8.30am-1pm, all year.

I don't believe there is a sole on this side of the pond under 30 who has any idea what you are talking about. We call it a trunk.

What a beautiful question. I wish I did know where they are and i wish I could visit them for a bit of peace and quiet and delightfully wise Irish sanity.
