im wondering this because im looking to buy a car but it needs front brakes

If its just the shoes then $200 or so. If machining has to happen , maybe twice that. Find an honest mechanic. Difficult but worth it. Remember that you are hiring somebody to fix your car, not to speak the King's English.

That question is hard to answer based on what your car might need. If the brake pads are worn, but the calipers and rotors are okay, the job should be inexpensive. If the pads have worn to the point where the rotors are scored and damaged, this could be spendy. If you are paying someone to do the work...

Pads only.....$50-75
Add for rotors.....$100-150
Add for calipers....$100-150

I would put the worst case scenario at $300 to $400

if it just needs front brakes you are looking at like 50-65 bucks if you buy the parts and install them your self or someone you know like 30 bucks

Depends. Do you need just pads or rotors also? And if it has ABS then you'll need disks instead of drums.
