i heard it was alright, but alot was the same it just looks prettier. a friend of mind has a family member that works at disneyland so well go soon is space mountain that much better?

It IS better. The beginning, where you are being pulled up, the lights and surroundings are better and more modern looking. Once inside the ride it is much darker, which is good. The graphics on the out dome are better, no giant chocolate chip cookie goes floating by. The track route is the same or at least similar, but I'd say its a little bit smoother.
The other change is that the sound is incorpoarated into each seat. You have a speaker on either side of your head, so it sounds a lot better.
Oh, and the big spacecraft you walk around while in line no longer looks like the ship from "Space 1999". (an old TV show).

no it's not any better. the only thing they did to it is fix the tracks so it will go faster, but its like the best ride in disneyland!!!!!!!!

I didn't even notice the ride was different. Mostly it was just newer looking.

yup i have ..but its not very good..its not really like a thrilling rollercoaster or nething..its just like all dark and its goes up and down and up and down..kind of gives you a headache lol

i dunno about disneyland, but i know space mountain at disney world sucks so badly, because the shortened it and the lines are long!
