Look up Anais Nin on Amazon. Her diaries about her experience in Paris with husband and Henry Miller were considered scandalous and written in novel form. Also try "The Tropic of Cancer" by Henry Miller.

Try these:
The Perfect age by Heather Skyler
When her daughter starts a job as a lifeguard, Kathy, feeling adrift in her marriage, begins an affair with her daughter's boss, in a story that traces the sexual awakenings of both mother and daughter.
High maintenance by Jennifer Belle
Traces a young woman's unusual obsession with a Manhattan apartment after her marriage falls apart as she searches for a new place that she can call home while dealing with the manic ups and downs of the Manhattan real estate market.
Four blondes by Candace Bushnell
Four very different women endure romantic intrigues, betrayals, liaisons, and victories as they seek love amid the playgrounds of the rich and powerful.
I'll add more as I think of them. Check the reviews in Amazon for these to get a better idea if you'll like them.

My girlfriend swears by
Henry Miller, early in his carrear he wrote some "trashy" eros novels just to get by, earning like $.01 a word or sumpin. But they have been regarded as important works later in his carrea. Also Anias Nin, they were lovers at one time..... she wrote some good stuff also!

Fingersmith, affinity and tipping the velvet by Sarah waters.
Victorian alternate sexuality juxtaposed against wealth, poverty (and in affinity- the supernatural), cons, early liberal politics...
Some of my favorites.

read born confused, and/or twilight (it's a story about growing, up and discovering love, with a twist, and not the gay kind)
