What is the largest number of direct reports you've had in your career (and with what company)?

What is a direct report? I need to answer some questions from a prospective employer and I am not sure what is the direference between a direct report vs indirect report?

Someone who works directly for you. Someone you supervise.
Think of a flow chart. If you are in the box on top there are probably three or four boxes that report directly to you. Others in the organization (lower boxes on the chart) report to those who report to you, etc.
