It sounds to me like it's an illegal copy of Windows XP Home. Unlike previous versions of Windows... XP is worse than ET for always calling home, so Microsoft knows what is out there and, if the serial number of your software doesn't match what the number of the software installed on your machine.. then Big Brother knows it... and you get the message.

Better go talk to whoever you bought the machine from.

abode windows XP is a category that abode version falls lower than, the picture of place of work version. i assume that once you've a CD for abode, then your OS is abode, yet i am going to't be confident. you're able to try booting it from the CD yet I distinctly recommend, even with the hardship, that you wipe your hardchronic clean by ability of an in intensity procedure and then reinstall the abode windows version that the workstation runs on. There are steps to this on the web, besides the undeniable fact that that's lots a lot less confusing to apply a telephone-assistant or a serviceman except for sure you've carried out it in the previous. i'm no longer too prevalent with the blunders message, so in the previous you're taking my suggestion, I advise you're attempting an discover out no matter if a reboot desires to be taken for any such malfunction. reliable success.

Also that your Windows software will not be supported by Microsoft, i.e. no updates etc.
Best to buy the real deal so you can be supported.
