I dreamed last night that i was just sitting at my kitchen table drinking a cup of tea and a man in a blue overcoat and a hat just walked in through my (unlocked) front door and shot me in the head.
And then i woke up.

Well the tea is symbolic your contentment with life or a relationship. perhaps you are taking it slow or even too slow. The blue could be indicative a sadness, but I don't know who the man represents, only you do, this man could be you or it could be someone you know and care about or someone who you think may hurt you. The hat could mean that he (you) has something to hide. The door being unlocked means you feel vulnerable and being shot could mean that you feel a confrontation or threat in your life. Or perhaps you have simply lost someone you love it was a blow to you and you are just trying to find that contentment. Only you can answer some of these things. good luck.

Dreams are our subconcious "playing" as we sleep. When we dream, we dream in symbols, sometimes we dream about our fears, sometimes we dream about things that we see on television or hear whether its conciously or unconciously.

Think about the dream . Think about who that person might have reminded you of . Is there anyone in your life that you do not particulary care about or someone that doesn't particulary like you. That person may be symbolizing the individual . It could be symbolizing something that may be troubling your or something that you are afraid of or something you heard. It could've very well been a terrible nightmare that was triggered by some sort of an anxiety.

It's a little light on details, but I'll give it a shot :> Sowwy. Involuntary pun.

There's a problem quietly building up in your life you haven't been paying sufficent attention to, that you've been postponing taking care of. You think it'll be alright until you can get around to taking of it, but your subconscious is hinting you should move it up on your priority list. You own a car? I'd take in to get it serviced and the oil changed.

And I like german chocolate, please.

A possibility might be that you feel safe and secure and because you do that you let your guard down and someone does something unexpected (and really bad) to you. I take dreams like that as warnings that I need to pay attention because someone is out to hurt me in some way (could be emotional, could be physical, could be my reputation, or my job)

It's a vision of what's coming. A long-time enemy will come and be the cause of your brutal death. Sorry for being so depressing. Just...watch your back.

And maybe buy some guns, heavy weaponry, and hire a hitman/bodyguard while you're at it, 'kay? Just kidding.

I've heard that everyone has their own symbolism when it comes to dreams. This one is difficult. Such a sudden shock like this could mean something like a very great disappointment, or tragedy in your life, or something perceived by you as being so.

No - because now you have me thinking about cake and I can't think about anything else. Maybe the man in the blue coat is angry with you because you lied about the free cake. You better watch your back.

I had a dream like that once, except I was shopping at Costco. By the way, when can I expect my cake?
