Yes.

Regardless of the political views of the next President, he has to be more competent than Bush has been.

His high point has been 2 out of 3 Supreme Court Justices being confirmed (success being defined by achieving HIS goals, not necessarily the goals the public cares about).

The invasion of Afghanistan and its affect on Al-Qaeda has been marginally successful. At least Al-Qaeda's effectiveness has been reduced, even if Bin Laden and other Al-Qaeda leaders roam free. On the other hand, terrorism world-wide has reached record levels.

Everything else Bush has touched has been a disaster - Iraq, Katrina, Social Security reform, stem cell research, No Child Left Behind, Medicare (this will become more obvious around September/October when coverage starts running out for people who don't quite understand the program).

Yes, just a little bit, but not if Hillary runs in '08 and wins. At this time I don't think Jeb is running. Either way, we don't need another President Clinton any more than we need another President Bush. The House of Representatives, the Senate, and the White House all need fresh blood.

Not if Progressive Liberals don't retake Congress and/or the White House. i would much prefer one house of Congress and the White House than just the White House alone.

exactly. no matter who's in charge, if it's a Republican then they could end up being just as greedy and reckless as Bush has been.
