I have no idea. It seems that they would realize that it is different when there are two homes to support. It has never made sense to me that a judgment can be made for child support that impoverishes a man and makes it nearly impossible for him to have a life of his own.
Most women do work after a divorce and that should be taken into consideration when determining child support. I think there should be a fair and equitable share of costs. Sadly, it isn't in most cases.

Women don't think that child support is supposed to cover "everything" for the child. Your woman might though. Most women just want what they deserve. If the man and woman are split up then the woman just wants what the court orders the man to pay. Many men have a tendency to run when they have a kid to avoid resposibility. Child support is there to make dead-beat dads do what they are supposed to do (take care of their kid).

Child support is supposed to cover one half of all the children's expenses. Most non custodial parents forget that even rent for a child is an expense. Like if a single mom needed an apartment and she has one child now she needs a two bedroom instead of the one. I think any parent should want to give money to the custodial parent because they need to know that children cost alot of money. I hate it when people say I'd rather buy the stuff for my child rather than give the other parent money. Thats ridiculous considering the fact that the other parent shells out money every day for their child.

The average expense for one child is less than $500 a month. So, if you are providing more than that, it should cover everything that child "NEEDS". Now, when you are teaching your child to love and covet material items, the "want" expenses grow exponentially. Food, education, clothing, and entertainment, shouldn't cost that much. I have been a single parent for a very long time. I didn't receive child support, nor did I pursue it.

I feel that there is not a dollar amount to match what a child truly needs inside, from both parents. If their dad had spent more quality time with my girls, I would have been satisfied. He spent a very short time trying to buy their respect and affection. By then, they had grown old enough to feel insulted by his actions.

Taking turns being there for games, events, musical activities is very helpful. Taking turns going to parent-teacher night is very helpful. Taking time to work on homework needs, gives unmatchable value.

You seem to be preoccupied with this child support issue. You have to pay to play, bottom line.

child support do not cover every thing 4 a child but it does help in some cases it might cover everything and in other cases it dont do much.u have some father that dont give their child nothing and when u put them on child support u get more than what u was getting and thats a good thing and u also have fathers that gives their child and when u put them on child support u end up getting less. so it all depends.

I have no idea. But it should cover half or more for the child. If the other party is not working thats when it should cover everything for the child.
Note: Not the mother.

Because its "CHILD Support". Its to support the child you both created. Of course you should start with the child's basic needs, food, water, shelter, and clothing. Once those needs are fulfilled you have to look at social needs (i.e. school supplies, entertainment, and fun). What else is it suppose to do if not to provide?

I will answer your question if you can answer mine.....

Why do men think it is ok to screw like bunnies and then disappear if the woman ends up pregnant?

Dont lay the contraception issue on just the women because men can and should always protect themselves. You should never ever ever ever take your partners word for the fact they are using contraception... or are sterile... or what ever. Take your own responsibility if you are going to be sexually active.... and step up to the plate if a child is conceived.

Your answer.... we dont. It is just incredibly expensive to raise a child.

I don't know. But it is Wrong, Wrong Wrong!!! Neither of my husband's exes work. They sit around doing nothing while we both work to pay them. Something needs to change. The mothers don't seem to have to spend any money on the kids once they leave with them.
