I am trying to connect my phone to the PC to download some stuff onto my phone, but nothing happens when I click the connect button. I have been through the manual and done everything step by step, but it just aint happening! Any ideas please?

Well, it's not a REAL phone silly - REAL phones are rarely, if ever, made out of chocolate! You just eat it up like a good ickle person and maybe you can have a real one when you're old enough.

Sounds like there is a fault - it happens...take it back to the shop and get it sorted.
Good luck...though you won't need luck - just be firm in pointing out that they supplied you with a faulty item; using words like 'trading standards' seems to elicit the best response.
Don't be fobbed off with being told you need to return it to the manufacturers...your sales contract is with THEM - and THEY are the ones who supplied you with a faulty item. It is up to THEM to supply you with a working phone and then sort out their issues with their suppliers.

careful with it - make confident that the cellular telephone keep you bypass to has a suited clip for unlocking the Chocolate. there is not any software answer, and attempting may be counterproductive. with the help of the with the help of... in case you sign up it with orange, you could get them to unclok it for you after 3 months. It prices 20 quid or so.

have you installed the software that came with the phone if not your pc wont recognise it
if you didnt get any software then try the lg website and see if it can be downloaded
