Band - Song

Eve 6 - Anytime
Placebo - Because I Want You
Unwritten Law - FIGHT
The Academy Is... - Sceptics And True Believers

Well those were the bouncy ones, here are more alternative ones:

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Your Guardian Angel (The Acoustic Song)
Placebo - Blind
Placebo - Pierrot The Clown

And then there's "A Perfect Circle" which rocks the house with most of their songs. Try "Tool" too if you haven't, not my style but other people seem to think it's good.
Oh yea, Death Cab For Cutie's cool too, but they're more soft rock than alternative.

Have you tried using www.Pandora.com ? They're really good at helping you get stuff according to your taste that you've never even heard of.

I like a lot of older music....The Doors, Grateful Dead, Beatles. Those are classics! I also like Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Regina Spektor, Norah Jones....these women have beautiful voices, all play the piano (my fav. instrument) and have real poetic lyrics. John Mayer and Teddy Geiger are pretty good as well. i actually really like the Gnarls Barkley cd...I didn't think I would but it's pretty good in my opinion. If you like Gnarls Barkley you might also like RJD2, Portishead, Handsome Boy Modeling School (which I also love) Oh man theres so so so much more, I love music!

I heard a song called City Hall by Viena Teng on the Radio the other day. I thought the announcer said Fionna Tang so it took awhile to find it. A VERY NICE SONG. One of the best. Also try Sweet Jane by Cowboy Junkies. Also, Walkin on a Wire , Linda and Richard Thompson, Man Over , by Robinella Tipton and the CCstring band,

Green Day (not the AI stuff, but stuff from Dookie and Insomniac and Nimrod)
Rufus Wainwright, he's amazing.
Are you open to 80s music? If yes I'd recommend The Police.
