im sure u'll be charged up the A$$ in roaming or w/e you carrier has. but its a GSM phone so it should pick up the local towers. i live in CT and a really good US carrier is "Cingular" you might want to look into getting a phone for around here to save money. even a pre paid phone is good.

I would recommend cancelling your plan over there and just getting a phone with prepaid minutes here if you are only going to be around for a short while.
