there is an electronic system that you buy in a hardware store that uses an very high pitch sound that you cant hear but only bugs and insects can here, it will drive them away, and it works, if it fails, you must find the source of where they are coming from, when found, block it

Had them once real bad in an apt right when I moved in. Call the landlord, have them spray the whole building they will run in the walls from one apt to the next. Then set of 2-3 bombs in your apt, depending on the size for several hours. Bomb it about once a week for a month. Eggs hatch and you just have new ones. Put the drain plugs in your sinks and tubs and cover the toilet with plastic wrap or something when you bomb. If they can get to water when you bomb they can live. Boric acid around all the baseboards and corners of the cabinets help also to combat them coming back. Make sure you just use a little in the cabinets and that you turn your glasses up not rim down so no residue gets on them...personally I would just store them in a plastic tub til I got done bombing. It's how I did it.

If you are in an apartment, it is the landlord who should be spraying. Spraying or fogging your own apartment is ineffective because the bugs go where the environment is not quite so hostile to live until they can come back to your place. The landlord should have the entire complex exterminated on a regular basis. Good luck. I hate those things!

Unfortunately, despite the fact that those sprays and fogs are nerve gas, they will not work consistently because the bugs adapt to them. Boric acid powder sprinkled around the areas of their nests is the best thing I can say. Also, you must leave NO FOOD around your apartment--if the buggers find anything they can eat, they won't go away.

I haven't had any for years, and then our downstairs neighbors moved, and we've had a few since. We'll be rid of them soon.

Do you or any of your friends have a cat or two you could borrow? Cats love batting the cockroaches around with their paws and knocking them off their feet. Great fun to watch. The horrid scuttly insects usually die from exhaustion. Have no pity. These insects breed like no others I've known..... otherwise, I agree, you'll need a human exterminator.

Move out to another apartment at the apartment complex's expense, throw out everything that you can throw out, and wash the rest. If you get them in the new apartment, it will be easy to treat b/c you won't have dirt or junk there. Make sure it is clean before you move there. Better yet, move to another aparment complex altogether. But wash and sterilize everything in 20 Mule Team Borax before you do (keep that away from pets and children though)

Ive heard if you see one youhave a thousand more in the wall.
Only way in an apt. to TOTALLY get rid of them is if the landlord tents the building and fumigates it.
Once you get rid of yours they come over from your neighbor.
Keep trash with a lid, all food in the fridge or seeled containers, and no wet areas, they like dampness too.
You could try those sticky traps or bait motel things where they bring back poison and it stops them from reproducing.
Or,,,, move.
Careful they will get in your stuff when you pack to move too.

One of the best products I have found is Combat Gell, get it at home depot. It's a little expenssive, if you follow their instructions, but if you take my suggestion it'll work just the same. Just inject a drop of the combat gell in every hinch in your house. They are going to be gone for ever and for good. I used it once, about 7 years ago, they never came back.
