You have to change your settings...follow these instructions:
> Log into your MSN Messenger
> At the top of your MSN Messenger window, click on "Tools"
> From "Tools" click on "Options..."
> On the left panel, click on "General"
> Under "Sign in" uncheck "Allow automatic sign in when connected to the internet..."
> Click "Apply" and "OK"
If this doesn't work, then try this:
> Log out of MSN Messenger
> Unselect "Sign in automatically"
> Log in again to save your settings

In the MSN messenger window just ( Un -check ) the spot that says (sign me in automatic) once you do that it will come up but will not sign you in until you are ready..

You have to delete it out of your computer?
1) click in the start button
2) go to control panel
3) click on add or remove files
4) find the msn messanger and delete it.
5) restart your computer and there you are finish!

logout of Messenger and untick the sign in auto box.

go to run type msconfig, go to start up and disable messenger from the tick boxes

or u can install software for this..
or u can control the startup from the startup icon in the control panel..
so u will be able to control the startups..
