Music puts me in a good mood. I listen to it when ever I get the chance. I wish I could listen at work.

I listen to if a few days a week. Mostly in the morning while I am getting ready for work. It wakes me up and gets me going. Music effects me differently at different times. Sometimes in the evening I want to relax and so I may play the "quiet storm" radio station. I may listen to "oldies"...that takes me back into the day...it's alot of fun. Or, I may feel like chillin' with some jazz, which is best when you have company and you are sipping on a martini...that doesn't happen too often.

I hear music in my mind all the time. So music is a constant process to me. When I am in a romantic mood, I heard romantic motiffs in my mind, sometimes actual songs and at others, my own ideas. It's a bummer that I cannot write music, I just compose them in thoughts and then, most of them disappear.

Lots of classic music goes on in my mind from Beethoven to Mahler to Schubert;

At others it's parts of songs, like the beginning organ in "Somebody for Someone" by the Coors;

I always hear songs by Doves, Collective Soul, The Chameleons, Idlewild, Red House Painters and Elliot Smith.

Sometimes it's mowtown and others rave music.

I love the calm and peace of Beethoven's late String Quartets; how the cellos sound like calm, sensitive breathing.

I also love the late piano sonata's of Beethoven, especially the slow adagio of the 3rd movement of his Hammerklavier sonata.

When I am excited, I hear Handel's "Chaccone" and when I am feeling a lonely, but peaceful calm, I hear Chopin's Nocturnes.

No matter how much music is writtten, the beauty of music comes from that fact that not every type of mood will be expressed in music. This makes music an art form that will forever develop over time.

Music reflects my moods really. When I'm mellow, I listen to old jazz. When I'm happy, or need to be happier, I listen to hip hop. My favorite is BABY GOT BACK! Always makes me dance.

If I'm angry and need to get some place in a hurry, I'll put on some really loud stuff (like Crystal Meth).

If I'm in a loving mood, I'll listen to blues, jazz, 40's music, and love songs. I love R&B too.

There is no real time that I can pinpoint for listening. I'll listen throughout the day and night if I want, and sometimes not at all for days.

When I need to wake up or stay awake, heavy metal does the trick. When I need sleep, or want to relax, Grateful Dead is the thing, when I'm hanging out with friends or playing sports rap/hip hop is good background noise. I love music and listen to it every day, but try not to listen to the same thing too much, classic rock is out of the question cause I've heard them all 1000+ times.

I listen to music for about 30 minutes in the car each day. It helps me almost get into accidents by changing the station every 2 seconds!

Music can serve many purposes. It can be motivational, spiritual, calming, energizing, or any kind of emotion that you want it to be.

I can be angry, yet can turn on the appropriate song and it can help me find a better place. I can be depressed and put on a song that will make me feel inspired.

Music can also help a person express what they are feeling when they are not so good with words.

I listed to music every day, and everywhere except for work. And I listed to almost every kind of music.... depending on my mood and where I want to be (state of mind).

Just about every song has a meaning to me. I listen closely to the words and if I like the meaning I'll jot down the song. I listen to music all the time. I listen to all different kinds of music too. Some songs can change my mood. some make me cry, laugh, smile, and make me angry.

I love my music, but then, I might be falling in love, so every song means something meaningful and different!

I listen to music a couple of times a day, especially when I'm in the bath.

Chevelle and three doors down put me in the mood. Tool, Three Days Grace, my chemical romance, all pump me up. I listen to that kind of music most while I am cleaning or working out. I always have music playing.
