I am in a 10 player league. Each team gets to keep 6 players from the previous year.
Reuben Droughns,Muhsin Muhammad, Laveranues Coles are being traded for two kickers and a defense. Now, with only keeping 6 players, most people would not keep K or D as they are middle to late round draft choices. Oh, and the two trading are husband and wife. They are swapping a 5th for 11th round draft pick, but again, that is pretty inconsequential. Am I right to put up a stink that this is collusion? It can be vetoed by 4 teams vetoing it. I am afraid most people do not follow this time of year and there will not be 3 other ones to veto it. Am I making too big a deal out of it?

Veto it!!! It is COLLUSION!!
The trade is BS especially in a keeper league. I had a similar problem a few years back. I was in a custom head-to-head yahoo league. After the draft the commissioner and another user began making unusual trades (Payton for Jason Elam, L.T. for Joe Horn and so on). By the time the season had begun the commissioner had traded his bottom drafted player for the users top drafted players. Had it been a public league that **** would of got shot down fast, but the commissioner alone had the trade veto rights. S O L. It killed the competitiveness and fairness of the league and most players quit running their teams after a month or two. The commissioners average score was like 150 compared to every one else's 70-90. Later on I check the commissioners profile and saw that he was commissioner in three other leagues and he was first in all of them. So I checked the user he was trading with and he was also in all of those leagues, in last place. Idiot(s) messed up alot of peoples teams. I said whatever it was just one team and it was free. If it was a keeper league or a money league I would of asked Yahoo to step in and take action. Your situation is less shady but still, you play to win. If you want to win VETO it and let as many others in your league know whats going on, email them or something.

This is a little bit odd for me that someone could trade an enitre offense for special teams, especially for a married couple. The scary fact is that these practices happen all the time in various league, where an unfair trade happens to be accepeted. You have to read the league guideline (rulebook) first before you take any action against the two team. If this practice happens to be illegial (which is likely), contact the provider who hosting the league (like Yahoo, ESPN, etc.) and notify about this action. Otherwise, you can't do much if you don't have proof.

I think right now Austin is a better keep than Marshall, but its about as fair as trades can probably get. Do you really have a reason to go through with the trade though? I think Giants D has more potential in the long run than does N.O. and Austin is better so far than is Marshall. It seems like this trade is much ado over nothing for you. personally, I wouldn't do it.

Hell no!!! As a very competitive fantasy player I'm here to tell, "Sum'tin' smells fishy"! I'd contact all the members via e-mail, text, land line, homing pigeon, etc., etc., etc. VETO ALERT!!!!
My 16 y/o son join my work league last year. One of the stipulations that I agreed to was "no trading between son/dad". Never became an issue. Good Luck!

it's a bs trade and they know it. veto the deal.

Droughns is a 4-5th rounder, Coles is an 8th rounder, and Muhammed is a 9-10 rounder - so it's not like a bunch of studs are being moved; but to trade for 2 kickers is crap - who even protects kickers?

definitely sounds fishy. but just for sake of argument what are the two defenses and kicker? is chicago defense and neil rackers involved at all?

either way this guy would be dumb to use 3 of his 6 keeper slots for special teams. i would veto too.

Notify the other members of the league about the trade. Stuff like this happens all the time in different fantasy leagues. You got to nip this stuff before it happens.
