That's a question that I don't think anyone can answer with a certain amount time. My daughter took the shot for just over a year and it took forever for her period to return. Once it returned, it still has not adjusted and become regular again.
I truly think it depends on your body and how fast it reacts. I'd not worry until maybe 6 months has passed. Then I'd see a doctor. That stuff stays in your system for a really long time!! And, they are only taken every three months if I remember correctly. So, take it easy and wait awhile longer.
By the way, I think you made a good choice by getting off it. I don't think it's good for your body. My daughter had weight gain, mood swings that were horrid and depression while taking it.

Everybody reacts differently to birth control. After my daughter was born I got a depo shot (which is suppose to last for three months) and got my period every month like clockwork even though the doc said I prob wont get a period while on the shot. I would call your doc and ask them what is normal and at what point you should be worried. No matter what anyone says on this forum, thats the only thing that will make you feel at ease.

My physique continues to be adjusting from depo, and it somewhat is been over a year because I had my final shot. I neglected/had easy era for the 1st few months, and it replaced into nerve wrecking! i'm a sprint greater everyday now, different than that generally I even have classes that final 7-14 days! I hated Depo, it made me so ill and that i hate that I ought to "get well" from beginning administration. additionally, attempt massaging the spot the place you used to get the shot. Depo creates crystals contained in the muscle that launch the hormones. by utilising massaging the muscle, it breaks down the crystals swifter. P.S. I took a preg try a pair of times to make myself sense greater proper, and it replaced into not at all helpful.

I was on the depo shot for just a short while and it took over a year for me to get my period back. It was a long time before my body got back on track.

People dont usually have a period when they are on the depo. But I think if you are never going to take another shot it takes six months. Thats usually when you get another shot if you were to stay on it
