A while ago now I told one of my friends that we would work on a project together. Now, it is about two weeks until the project is due, and my dad said that he would take me to a place so where I could do it. However, the friend I told I would let him do the project with me and my dad don't like each other, and I would rather not have him come along now, so I could spend sometime with my dad, since I dont see him that often. What do you think I should do?

I can see your point of veiw wanting to spend time with you're dad. Now as what to do if this is really you're friend- You be honest with him. Real friends don't lie to each other.

Tell your father you and this friend already had plans to work on a project together and you hope that as the adult, your father will act like one and make things a whole lot easier.
