he has told me about a old girlfriend and that he was cheating on her with another girl that was living with them along with her husband. He has said that he will not cheat on me but if he does he will tell me himself right away. So I have found myself checking his email to see who is emailing him and who he is emailing. Nothing has turned up... Should I be getting married??

Not if there is an obvious trust issue. Either go to counseling to figure that out, or forget it. The man who is the one will never even think of thinking of cheating. He would feel as though he could never be with anyone else. There is no way he should be telling you if it DOES happen I'll let you know. That's bull****.

What kind of statement is "but if he does he will tell me himself right away"? Is that supposed to make you feel better or him? Come on, this is a red flag. There is a trust issue. I wouldnt buy a dress or send invites out until you trusted him. This isnt a healthy relationship. Try counceling first.

Sweetie if you are already checking his email you obviously don't trust him. In order to make a marriage work there needs to be complete trust and honesty. If you don't have that basic element then you might want to postpone the nuptials..take it from me I'm in the middle of a divorce after only 4yrs due to lack of trust and honesty

the fact that he has said " i wont cheat ...BUT IF DO..." would make me concerned.. he shouldnt even be thinking that he could even compentplate doing that if you were to marry.. how long have you been together? im getting married on 2008 too we well have been together 7 years then and if he even said that to me, id be seriousl;y thinking about posponing it a little or just at least asking him what exactly he meant by that. the fact that your checking his emails shows that you doubt him... good luck.

PROBABLY NOT. YOU SHOULD COMPLETELY HAVE TOTAL TRUST IN HIM BEFORE SAYING I DO. GOING INTO THE MARRIAGE ALREADY HAVING DOUBT IS A RECIPE FOR DIVORCE. MAYBE TRY PREMARRIAGE COUNSELING. 2008 IS A LONG WAY OFF, SO SLOW THINGS DOWN AND TRY TO REALLY GET TO KNOW WANNA ANOTHER, TRY TO BECOME BEST FRIENDS, SO MANY MARRIAGES ARE MISSING AND OR LACKING FRIENDSHIP AND COMMUNICATION.

If you want a slave, buy a dog.

If you cant trust him, How can he trust that you will not cut off his penis in the middle of the night, because his was 15 minutes late, you paranoid freak.

But if he does ???? What kind of sh*t is that to say ? Basically what he is saying is that he will try but there are no guarantees. You see how he's already got you looking and searching ? Do you want a lifetime of that ?
