Why do people get so upset over the littlest things. Someoby spilling coffee on your shirt, getting your jig-saw puzzle scrambles up, getting your chess game knocked over...the list goes on....but why do people get so angry over things like that? Even if the problem is a litlle bit bigger than a chess game...don't they realize that it's not even going to matter in twenty years anyway?! Why can't more people just laugh and say, "ahh, that's life." or "It happens." or just laugh at problems or accients? Why are we so stressed and uptight all the time?

My sister does this! The least little thing goes wrong and she lets it wreck her entire day. Not only is it stuff that won't matter in twenty years... it's stuff that won't matter in twenty minutes.

I've been known to do my share of flipping out, but it's very brief and I take a deep breath, get over myself and get on with my day! *L*

Lighten up folks! Try some meditation or yoga... take an anger management class... anything! *smile*

You are way too relaxed to ask this question. I mean this in a bad way though. Your habndwritting is sloppy and your room's a mess...to start. I understand that there is another side to this which is called OCD, but everyone needs a little bit of that to get things done in this world. That is why people get mad at supposedly little things.

because people nowadays dont have much else to ***** about. life, for the most part, is pretty easy now, so peoples sensitivity levels become heightened because they are used to dealing with difficult and unsavory things. we dont have to worry about missing t.v. shows because now we have tivo, we dont have to worry about working hard in school becasue the system will always make accomodations for us, and for the most part, most people dont have to dealing with strenuous physical labor or need to fear that they could be assaulted at any second, so they tend to blow things out of preportion. ask a guy who came over to america on a boat and got split up with his family at ellis island is that big of a deal, i am willing to bet he'll probably star laughing, because he know how difficult life can really get, as opposed to the people whining over spilled milk.

It's because we take ourselves too seriously. Most of us also live in the "here and now," giving little thought to anything outside our tiny bubbles of awareness.

High stress levels in our daily lives and a lack of outlets for our frustrations also play a key role.

That is a question with no simple answer.

People who are emotionally healthy tend not to get upset about every little thing.

They tend to go with this approach to life:

"Don't sweat the small stuff -- and most stuff is, after all, small..."

u need a reason to get rid of all that anger and frustration, and the guy doing mistakes is a good victim. everything else is crap. if everybody would "walk a mile in my (other-ones) shoes", people would be smarter!
