From reading your question and the previous responses, I think that what you are trying to do is check to see if your browser allows cookies which is a requirement in order to take your course? An online course perhaps?

To check your settings, click on TOOLS, then on INTERNET OPTIONS. Go to the PRIVACY tab, and just move the slider to select the level of privacy you desire ~or~ Go to ADVANCED on the PRIVACY tab, and you can choose how the cookies are handled, either to ACCEPT, BLOCK, PROMPT, or AUTOMATIC COOKIE HANDLING.

I would suggest you choose ACCEPT first-party cookies if you are taking a course. The cookies are probably used to keep track of when you last logged on and what lessons you viewed (kind of like taking attendance).

Your class is on cookies? Are you sure? Or, do you have to allow cookies to participate in the class.

If you do not allow any cookies, some websites will not open. I know this because my daughter took an online course and had to allow them in order to get into her classes and tests.

Doesn't your class website have a "help" button or offer some support? You should be able to find some information there.

Good luck.

Every site that you visit on the internet has cookies that is how the web sites keep track of you....most cookies are not bad, then some could be spyware....
