Any group is only as strong as its weakest member. If you've got someone who's dead weight, you're going to be in trouble.

While having a group project is supposed to have each member's contribution, one of its main weaknesses is that it might allow lazier people to slack off and let others do the work for them because the work would reflect the whole group. The people who are concerned with their grades or results would then end up doing most of the work, even if it is not their to do, because they want to get a good grade.

conflicting schedules has always been the biggest conflict in my group projects. It's hard for everyone to set aside time to meet with 5 or 6 different schedules....
