Alabama - they did some great stuff back in the 80s and 90s...they were around for 25 years and had 42 number 1 hits before they broke up.

Elliott. As in, Elliott, the band. Their music, especially their "False Cathedrals" album, is overwhelmingly beautiful. I practically cried the first time I listened to that album.
