All men are born equally with nothing and they die and leave whatever they managed to accumulate behind. In this respect all of man is equal.
However, because of variations in height, size, ability and physical/mental development, all men are not born physically equal.

The only equality we have is that we are all subatomically made up of exactly the same - which is the same as everything around you as well. Break it down to the smallest particle yet known - not different.
And thus more proving the point that we are all the same spirit. Same God. Just one of 6 billion drops from the same ocean. No one is favored more. Just all 'are.'
Maybe if the world came to realize this, that equality would overflow into our society.

There should be equality in opportunity, but "equality" in other regards is a misguided concept. For example, men and women are not "equal" in the sense that they are both different and have unique qualities, one sex not being more important than the other. So in that sense they are equal in importance, but not in their physical demeanor or their duties and responsiblities, or serving where they're best suited. "Equality" is also not to misconstrued as obtaining special rights, or changing the good laws in a society because you don't think that you're equal, or are being treated unfairly.

I would say that your belief in equality existing in the mind was correct, but life is, indeed, different. Of course, there are different areas of equality. I, for instance, cannot hold a candle to some Astrophysics Engineer...thus I am not his/her equal. But if you speak of simply being equal in human rights, or as people...then I'd agree with you. Being more knowledgeable than I am does not make me less than you...just different. It is in how we treat people that makes the difference.
Scripture would tell you to "treat others as better than yourself". Does this mean they are? No. But, it does mean a different attitude from us, and that attitude is often reflected in how others treat us. But yes...I believe in equality.

That depends on what sort of equality you're talking about. Equal dignity, worth & rights, yes. Equal abilities, talents, inclinations, strengths? Of course not.

We are all born equal in God's eyes, but we don't treat one another as equal and that is a flaw that we all need to fix by treating on another as equals.

The only way to achieve true equality and freedom is to stop caring so much what other people think about you and to have the confidnece to do whatever you want.

I believe that we are all created differently and those differences should compliment each other. I don't believe that anyone is created better than anyone else, so I guess, yes, I believe in equality.
