Is it true that it may be possible to see Mars with the "naked eye" sometime this month?Will you really be able to see Mars so close that it will appear to be about the size of the moon?

No that is a hoax thats been around a while (you can see mars, but it is not that size of the moon - more like a star).

This is the worst possible time to try to see Mars. It is as far away as it can get on the other side of the sun. It is also lost in the glare from the sun.

No, Mars is on the other side of the Sun this month and not visible from Earth at all.

Mars is always visible to the naked eye when in the night sky.

Mars never looks any bigger than a bright red star.

Please go learn some astronomy and don't listen to ignorant garbage, thus sucking the ignorance into yourself.

No it's not true.
Mars passed close to the earth in August of 2003. This happens about once every 5,000 years, but the same rumour goes around every year.
