I don't think he'll get in on the first ballot, but I do believe he will be inducted eventually.

The only way Rich Gannon goes in to the HoF is if he buys a ticket.
He had 2-3 great years but that's not enough. You have to have like 10 great years at least.
And he's the reason they lost the SB.... throwing all those INTs.

The NFL Hall of Fame sets pretty high standards for entry. The current QB's in the hall include Joe Namath, Roger Staubach, Dan Marino, John Elway, Joe Montana, in addition to Warren Moon & Troy Aikman joining this year. Gannon was a fine QB, but he just doesn't rise to the level necessary to get in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

No reason he belongs. Troy Aikman didn't have great stats but he had 3 rings, his trumph card. Moon had better stats than anyone gave him credit for and was a better QB statistically than Aikman by far, just didn't have the rings. Gannon doesn't hold a torch to either.

If you go by eventually I would say proably. He is not a first ballot by any stretch. He was a journeyman QB basically. Not too bad as a whole but not great.

He had a good couple years there- MVP, consecutive completions record, SB appearance...
Might not be enough. Some guys are still saying Moon shouldn't have gotten in.

Yeah he deserves it. It will be close though, he didn't have a great QB career, but it was solid, probably solid enough to get into Canton.

no way! he only had 3 good seasons! HE CHOKED IN THE SUPER BOWL. he threw so many picks against tampa that it wasn't even funny.
