OMG I can't believe some of the the answers other people are giving you. First, check your oil level or have someone else check it for you if you are unsure about it. The engine has got to have an ample supply of good, reasonably clean oil just to run properly. Second: Nobody is going to be able to diagnose the cause of your stalling concern without some reliable facts. To get those facts, they will have to assess your car with special instruments and tools. There could be any number of reasons for a stalling condition (ranging from a broken wire to a clogged fuel filter to a restricted air filter. It would be very advisable to get this vehicle diagnosed by a certified diesel technician at the earliest appointment you can book. Every time this happens, you should note what conditions you are experiencing (like rain, fog, whether you've just stepped on or let off the accelerator, etc.) since the technician is able to diagnose causes more quickly when there are already key facts known when they begin. Good luck, I hope it turns out to be something simple.

The stalling is likely being caused by a malfunctioning sensor...oxygen sensor perhaps. You can take the car to any mechanic or even to a place like Auto Zone, etc. and they can read any trouble codes for you. You could have fouled injectors also... I'd suggest taking the car in for a once-over by the dealer or a good mechanic who knows diesel vehicles.
What concerns me more is that you obviously aren't taking care of the car. Changing the oil at regular intervals is critical. Running on dirty oil or worse yet, running on low oil, will damage the engine and shorten its life.
There's more to a vehicle than just putting fuel in it and taking off. Learn to do some normal maintenance on your car, or at the very least take it someplace to have it done. Otherwise you'll end up stranded somewhere, and it will be your fault.
Hope this helped.

Depending on the engine in your car, some fuel injection systems fire the injectors with oil pressure. If your oil is very dirty and thinned out the injectiors may not be fueling the car as it is needed, Yes this can cause a stall. Also keep in mind that when the oil gets thin it is more likely to pass by the rings and be burnt.
This can cause low oil level, extended driving on low or dirty oil will most definitly be abrasive to the internal engine.

no that has nothing to do with it stalling whats happening is that the injector,s are starting to clog up a diesel does not have a carb so the fuel is not getting through the injectors so the car is start to act up if you can take it to a diesel mechanic or maybe go to a automotive store a buy a can of injector cleaner and try that first

No, being past due for your oil change wull not cause ur car to stall. There is probably a problem with a sensor. Take it to a garage and have it analyzed on a computer. And change your oil!!!

It definitely can if your oil levels are ay too low. Open up the hood and check your oil level. Thatd SCARY. You could be already damaging your engine if the oil level is so low you are stalling out.
Check your oil then lets be friends. http://www.myspace.com/mrandrzejak

diesal vehicles have a shut off switch to the fuel system if the oil level drops to low. So yes, I would check the oil first.

theres no way to tell what is wrong with it without seeing it. its like telling a doctor you have a fever whats wrong with you. i recommend gettting that oil changes quick. its gonna be like 30 bucks. then take it to a mechanic and tell him to check it out. he should be able to put it on a computer and see if anything is wrong with it. thats usually 50 bucks but its quick.
