I doubt Brady will duplicate his numbers from last year, and Foster has been injury prone. If healthy the rewards could be big, but I'm not so optimistic.
Bulger is not Brady, but he's steady and more than capable of starting 10 or so games for you, epsecially since he plays SF and ARI twice. Portis is solid, never hurt, and a top 5 back.
Make this deal and don't look back.

If I had to make a decision about this trade, I would pull the trigger on it for these reasons:
1) Brady has already climb the ladder in passing stats and it's bound to get down to the high 2,000-low 3,000 yard passing, even with a deep recieving rotation because the running game can't be that bad again in NE.
2) Foster is the Mark Prior of football, he has the stuff but he always gets hurt in many ways, so you can't guarenteed a full season out of Foster, Thats why the Panthers drafted DeAngelo Williams this year as insurance if Foster can't go, so Foster is on a short leash.
3) Even though an injury-risk, Bulger can still producing in the passing game (has help with RB Steven Jackson and his favorite target is Torry Holt). If he can stay healthy and cut down his interception rate, Bulger is a good QB to relie on.
4) Anytime someone offer you a top-5 RB, you take it, no matter what. Portis has been awsome year after year and Washington is prime to be an offensive catalyst this year (with Santana Moss and Chris Cooley at helm) so Portis should see his number rise or at least match last season.

Bulger is an injury waiting to happen, and tom brady is the best QB in the league all around. Even though portis is awesome, foster will have a pretty good year himself in carolina. He would accept that trade, but i wouldn't give up brady because bulger could get hurt way too easily.

I think you're robbing the cradle...Bulger is going to have a career year this season if he can stay healthy. This new coaching staff loves to throw at the goalline.
True, Brady is being ranked by many as the #2 QB, but it's more by default....but you're going to get to drop Foster (who will either be injured or benched before midway point of season) for Portis (who could be in the top 5 at season's end)? Man, you've got to do this trade.

i think i would take this trade if i was you. The pats arent as good this year and brady's favorite reciever isnt in camp yet. Bulger has Holt so hes gonna put up the numbers. Clinton Portis is also better than foster.

if you can sell that deal, you should do it every time. although for some reason, ppl are huge on carolina this year, and you know they are committed to the run.
but i think bulger has more upside than brady. especially since stl def sucks. bulger will likey be out flinging the ball all around the field in the 4th quarter to try and get the W
